This year I had the incredible opportunity to visit Paris to celebrate my 40th- it truly is the city of love that invites everyone to be a part of. I traveled with my sister, mother, and 12 year old daughter, and it was a dream come true. So if Paris is on your bucket list and your are planning a visit to this fabulous place, I have the perfect 3 day itinerary for you. This 3 day Paris itinerary will not only help you explore the beautiful city but it will also give you some fun activities to do.
Here, I’ve compiled a list of the unforgettable things to do in Paris within a short span of time, so you don’t miss out on anything! From sightseeing to classic experiences, this Paris itinerary has it all. Therefore, whether you are new to the city or want to explore it in depth, this guide will be extremely useful. Let’s delve into it now!
Eiffel Tower
Of course, the Eiffel Tower had to be the first structure we came to on the first day of our 3 day Paris itinerary. One of the most prominent towers in the world, it stands 324 meters high and is the tallest skyscraper in Paris.
There is no denying the elegance of the Eiffel Tower, and we were enthralled to see it in person. The wrought iron structure is both elegant and imposing, and the views from the top are simply breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see for miles over the city of Paris, and the tower is especially stunning when it is lit up at night. Even if you’re not a fan of heights, the Eiffel Tower is definitely worth a visit–it really is one of the most incredible sights in the world. During our three days in Paris, I made sure to wake up early enough every day to catch the sunrise at Eiffel Tower! One of the locations for the best view included Trocadero Square, and because this area can get quite crowded with tourists, early arrival is a must. Suffice to say, the sunrise here was spectacular and the early wake up call was well worth it! And if you’re not a morning bird especially during vacay, sunset is equally as beautiful, with an added bonus of a spectacular light show during the evenings.
Champs-Élysées
Next up on our 3 day Paris itinerary is the Champs-Élysées, which is a scenic avenue in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. If you are planning to stay 3 days in Paris, this is one of the memorable places to visit in Paris that you shouldn’t miss. There’s something about the Champs-Élysées that’s endlessly romantic. Perhaps it’s the cobbled streets or the wrought-iron street lamps, but there’s no denying that this Parisian avenue is one of the most beautiful in the world.
The Champs-Élysées stretches for over two kilometers, from the Place de la Concorde to the well-known Arc de Triomphe. You can sit at a cafe on the Champs-Élysées, sipping coffee and people-watching, and trust me, it feels like the epitome of Parisian life. We decided to make a quick pit stop to Laduree. Not only was it so pretty inside, the macarons, croissants and cappucino was just chefs kiss! Whether you’re strolling down the avenue, window shopping, or just sitting and people-watching, the Champs-Élysées is a must-see on any 3 day Paris itinerary.
Arc de Triomphe
The next stop that we recommend that you add to your 3 day Paris itinerary is the Arc de Triomphe. Paris is home to several famous landmarks, but the Arc de Triomphe stands out among the rest. It may be found at the western end of the Champs-Élysées, in the middle of Place Charles de Gaulle. The monument commemorates those who fought and died for France during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars by inscribing the names of all French triumphs and generals on its inner and outer surfaces.
Latin Quarter
On day 2 of your 3 day Paris itinerary, you can pay a visit to the Latin Quarter, where you get to immerse yourself immediately in the Paris charm. Whatever the reason, there’s no doubt that the Latin Quarter is a must-see for anyone visiting Paris. Walk around this stunning neighborhood, and you’ll understand why everyone is raving about it.
Notre Dame
This is one of the must-see attractions to add to your 3 day Paris itinerary, as there are only a few buildings in the world as iconic as Notre Dame Cathedral. Located in the heart of Paris, this Gothic masterpiece has been a source of inspiration for centuries. From its stunning exterior to its intricate interior, Notre Dame is truly a work of art.
The exterior of Notre Dame is characterized by its two massive towers, rose windows, and flying buttresses. The front facade is decorated with statues of biblical figures and French kings. The west portal is especially beautiful, with its detailed carvings of scenes from the life of Christ. As you step inside Notre Dame, you are immediately awed by the scale of the interior. The nave is enormous, and the rib-vaulted ceiling seems to soar endlessly overhead. The light that filters in through the stained glass windows casts a warm glow over the entire space. Nothing can prepare you for the majesty of Notre Dame, no matter how many times you’ve seen it in photos or on TV.
Louvre Museum
Another place that we visited during our 3 day trip to Paris is the Louvre Museum. It is considered one of the most splendid buildings in the world. The outside is adorned with numerous sculptures, and the inside is filled with some of the most famous paintings and artifacts. The Louvre is a must-see for anyone who loves art and wants to see some of the most famous pieces in the world.
The museum is home to many famous works of art in history, including the Mona Lisa painting and the Venus de Milo. The museum is divided into eight sections, each devoted to a different period or style of art. The sections are spread out over three floors, and visitors can easily spend a whole day exploring the museum. The Louvre is a truly stunning place to add to your Paris itinerary, and a visit to the museum is an unforgettable experience. Plan to give yourself at least 3 hours to immerse at the Louvre!
Opéra District
On the last day of your 3 days in Paris, we suggest exploring the Opéra District of Paris. In the heart of Paris lies the Opera District, an area renowned for its beauty and elegance. The area houses some iconic landmarks, including the Palais Garnier, Place Vendome, and the Tuileries Gardens. With designer boutiques and upscale retailers dotting the streets, it also offers some of the greatest shopping in the city.
The Palais Garnier is the jewel in the crown of the Opera District. The magnificent building, which is the home of the Paris Opera, is a must-see stop for any visitor to the city. Place Vendome is another highlight of the Opera District. The square is home to some of the city’s most luxurious hotels, as well as the famous Ritz Paris. And when in the Opéra district, the ideal spot to relax after a day of sightseeing is the Tuileries Gardens.
Montmartre
Last but not least, the perfect place to end your 3 day trip to Paris is Montmartre. There are few places in Paris as picturesque and charming as Montmartre. This small hill in the 18th arrondissement is home to the famous Basilica of the Sacré Cœur, as well as a host of other attractions that make it one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the city.
This historic district has been a center of artistic and bohemian culture for centuries, attracting some of the leading names in the art world. And it’s not just the art scene that makes Montmartre so special. The winding streets and hidden alleyways are lined with charming cafes, bars, and shops, making it the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon exploring. There’s also a sense of community here that you won’t find in many other parts of the city.
Cler Hotel, Paris
During our 3 days in Paris, we stayed at the Cler Hotel in the 7th arrondissement. If you’re looking for a luxurious and historic hotel in Paris, look no further than the Cler Hotel. This hotel is nestled in the heart of the city of Paris and is a few steps away from popular places of interest like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum.
The Cler Hotel is one of the highly favored hotels in the city. The rooms are elegantly decorated, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. You’ll also enjoy stunning views of Paris from the hotel’s rooftop terrace.
L’Éclair
In Paris, the L’Éclair is a popular pastry shop that is known for its delicious éclairs. L’Éclair has a long history of serving high-quality pastries to its customers. The shop offers a variety of different flavors of éclairs, including chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. They also offer fabulous cocktails that make perfect complements to the pastries.
Pink Mamma
Another popular restaurant in Paris that is known for its delicious Italian food is the Pink Mamma. The restaurant has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, and the staff is always happy to

La Jacobine
Another excellent restaurant that we recommend checking out during your 3 days in Paris is La Jacobine. La Jacobine is a restaurant in Paris that is known for its excellent food and service. The restaurant is found in the middle of the city, and it is a popular place to eat in Paris. The La Jacobine has a wide variety of menu items, and it is a great restaurant to eat at if you are looking for a good meal.
Le Saint-Regis
We also had a hearty meal at Le Saint-Regis, which is nestled in the heart of the storied 8th arrondissement of Paris. Le Saint-Regis in Paris is a Michelin-starred restaurant that serves modern French cuisine. The menu features dishes such as foie gras, lobster, and truffles. Le Saint-Regis also has an extensive wine list.
